Privacy policy

TouchToes keeps your stretching data on your phone: your answers, your progress and your photos. There is no account. Only what's needed for your subscription goes to the app store and to RevenueCat, the service that checks it, and we only receive anything else if you email us. No ads, no tracking, and no analytics of how you use the app.

Who is responsible

TouchToes is made by Arunivio – Gabriel Varvodic, Reinwardtstr. 25, 42899 Remscheid, Germany (see the legal notice). For any question about privacy, write to support@toetouch.app.

What the app stores

The app saves the following in its own private storage on your phone, so it can plan your sessions and show your progress:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. The app connects to the internet only for your subscription (see Subscriptions).

Height, weight and health

Your height, weight and goal weight can count as health information. They never leave your phone.

Camera and photos

TouchToes asks for camera access only when you open the progress photo screen. Photos are saved inside the app, not in your photo gallery, and are never uploaded. The app doesn't use the microphone and can't see your other photos.

Reminders

If you turn on the daily reminder, TouchToes asks for permission to show notifications. The reminder is scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent over the internet. If you start a free trial and allow notifications, TouchToes also reminds you, the same way, the day before the trial ends.

Backups of your phone

If you have turned on backups for your phone (for example Google backup on Android or iCloud Backup on iPhone), they can include TouchToes' data, as they do for other apps. Those backups are kept in your Google or Apple account under their terms. We can't see them.

App stores

Apple and Google may show us download numbers and, if you have agreed to share them, crash reports. These don't include your name or anything you enter in TouchToes.

Subscriptions

TouchToes opens with a free trial or a subscription, which you buy through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google takes your payment under their own terms and privacy policies (Apple, Google). We don't receive your payment details.

To check and restore your subscription, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., 1032 E Brandon Blvd #3003, Brandon, FL 33511, USA), which processes the following on our behalf:

We use this to open TouchToes while your trial or subscription is active, to restore it on a new phone and to answer your questions about it. The legal basis is our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). RevenueCat also shows us statistics about subscriptions, such as how many trials and subscriptions started, renewed or were cancelled, which we use to run and plan TouchToes. This is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can object to it (see Your rights). The random ID and your subscription status are also saved on your phone so the app can check your access; this is strictly necessary for the subscription you asked for (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).

RevenueCat stores this data in the USA. The transfer is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in our data processing agreement with RevenueCat (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). We keep purchase records while your trial or subscription runs, and afterwards only as long as we need them to answer questions about it or the law requires us to.

Emails to us

If you write to support@toetouch.app, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use them only to answer you, and delete them once your question is settled, unless the law requires us to keep them longer (for example business and tax records). Please don't send health details we don't need to help you.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when your message concerns a contract with us, such as your subscription, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our email is run by Zoho Corporation GmbH (Essen, Germany), which processes it only on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) and stores it in its data centres in the European Economic Area. Zoho group companies in India may access it when needed for technical support and debugging, and Zoho uses the sub-processors it lists at zoho.com/privacy/sub-processors.html. Under that agreement, Zoho must protect any transfer outside the European Economic Area with a safeguard the GDPR recognises (Art. 44–49 GDPR); you can ask us for details. After we delete an email, it can remain in Zoho's encrypted backups for up to three months.

Deleting your data

Children

TouchToes is only for adults aged 18 and over and isn't directed at children. If you answer that you're under 18, the app stops at that question. The answers given until then stay only on your phone, and uninstalling the app removes them.

Your rights

Because the app's data stays on your phone, we can't see, change or delete it; you can, in the app. For your subscription records, for emails you have sent us and for what you send us on TikTok or Instagram (see our profiles), you can ask for a copy, a correction or deletion, a restriction of their use, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to our use of them (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Write to support@toetouch.app for this or any other question; for subscription records, include the order number from your Apple or Google receipt so we can find them. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it loads no fonts or scripts from other servers. It is hosted on GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc. (88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open a page, GitHub receives your IP address and logs it for security; see GitHub's privacy statement. GitHub is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our links page (toetouch.app/links), which our TikTok and Instagram profiles link to, is part of this website and works the same way. Its Instagram and TikTok buttons take you to those platforms.

Our TikTok and Instagram profiles

We show TouchToes on TikTok and Instagram (both @touchtoes.app). When you visit these profiles, the platforms process your data under their own privacy policies, also with cookies and similar technologies, and may process it outside the European Union: TikTok Technology Limited (Ireland) and TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited (TikTok's privacy policy), and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for Instagram (Instagram's privacy policy). We have no influence on that processing.

Both platforms show us statistics about visits to our profiles and reactions to our posts (TikTok Analytics, Instagram Insights). They are aggregated, so we can't tell who you are from them. For these statistics we can be jointly responsible with the platform (Art. 26 GDPR). TikTok sets out the arrangement in its Analytics Joint Controller Addendum: TikTok gives you the information about this processing and answers your requests about it. Meta describes its arrangement for such statistics in its Page Insights Controller Addendum. You can exercise your rights with the platform or with us; we pass requests about these statistics on to the platform within seven days.

If you follow us, comment on our posts or message us, we see your public profile and what you write. We use it only to run our profiles and to reply to you. Messages and comments stay on the platform under its rules; we don't copy them elsewhere.

The legal basis for our part is our legitimate interest in presenting TouchToes, seeing how our posts are received and talking with people interested in it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to it (see Your rights).

Changes

If TouchToes changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
